On the semiclassical asymptotics of the current and magnetisation of a non-interacting electron gas at zero temperature in a strong constant magnetic field

Abstract

We calculate the asymptotic form of the quantum current/magnetisation of a non-interacting electron gas at zero temperature. The calculation uses coherent states and a novel commutator identity for the current.
